Our first job is visibility: giving people a way to be loud for shelter dogs. Attention is hard to count, so we also built something we can. Every standard product funds 20 shelter meals; Stray × Rare Breed collaboration pieces fund 80. Twenty is our baseline, and it is permanent: every product, for the entire life of this brand. We are new and we plan to do a lot more than this. The baseline is the floor, not the ceiling.

The impact baseline is clear and measurable: standard items fund 20 shelter meals, collaboration pieces fund 80, and standard email signups fund five. ITI campaign signups are counted separately. The numbers below show the progress so far.

Here's exactly what each order triggers, who receives it, and how. The whole arrangement, plainly stated.
Monthly Donations based on items sold
We set out to fund 20 meals for every item we sell. Greater Good Charities® put a number on that for us: $1 per item, which they calculate as 5 pounds of food, roughly 20 meals. So at least once a month we count the items sold and send it, directly to them. Stray × Rare Breed collaboration pieces fund 80 meals each; the standard range funds 20. No giving cap, no minimum spend, and a guaranteed floor of $10,000 a year even if sales fall short. This is our absolute baseline, from Day 1 of the project.

Sent every month, directly.
We pay Greater Good Charities® directly. No platform in the middle, no processing fees taken out. We remit at least monthly, so no money sits with us; it gets put to work as quickly as possible.

Running since May 1, 2026 with no planned end. If we ever change the program, we'll post 30 days' notice right here before anything changes. And importantly, the baseline only goes up.

It's a donation mechanic that customers can easily understand. Our primary goal is to provide a voice to a cause that needs volume. We think that we can be a true leader in this regard, but "attention" is something that's hard to quantify, so we want to ensure that we have some more tangible effects as well.
The ratio.
We start from the meals, not the money. Greater Good Charities® calculates what 20 meals cost through their GOODS program (about 5 pounds of food), and that calculation sets what we send them for every item sold. The exact figure is in the disclosure at the bottom of this page.
The multiplier.
Greater Good Charities® is a massive organization with the ability to buy and distribute food in bulk through infrastructure that already exists. They have the sway to work with pet food manufacturers, retailers, and many more to ensure that every penny is stretched as far as possible.

Every number on this page traces back to a source you can verify. We named the charity, linked their public record, and put our donation count on the table. This page is updated once per month to show the most up-to-date impact calculations.

Headless Labs LLC dba Stray Project is a for-profit company conducting a charitable sales promotion. For every item sold, Stray Project donates at least $1 to Greater Good Charities® (EIN 20-4846675), a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, paid directly to the charity. Greater Good Charities® calculates that amount as 5 pounds of pet food, roughly 20 meals; meal figures describe that food-funding equivalency, not specific meals delivered to an individual animal. Standard pieces fund 20 meals each; Stray × Rare Breed collaboration pieces fund 80 each. Stray Project guarantees a minimum donation of $10,000 per promotional period of one year, regardless of the number of items sold. There is no cap on total donations. The program is ongoing as of May 1, 2026.
