Shipping Policy

We make every Stray Project piece ourselves, in small batches, and a portion of every order goes to animal shelters. Here’s everything you need to know about how and when your order gets to you.

The short version

  • We currently ship within the United States only.
  • Orders usually leave our hands in 1–2 business days.
  • Most orders arrive 3–7 business days after they ship.
  • Free shipping on orders over $80. Under $80, shipping is a flat real-cost rate shown at checkout.
  • We’ll email you tracking the moment your order ships.

Where we ship

Right now we ship to addresses within the United States only (including APO/FPO military addresses). We’d love to go international down the road, so if that’s you, keep an eye on our email and Instagram.

Processing time

Because we hold and pack our own inventory, we generally are able to move quickly. Orders placed before 12 pm ET Monday–Friday usually ship the next business day. Orders placed on weekends or holidays typically ship in 1 to 2 business days.

During drops, sales, or holiday crunches, processing may take a little longer, but we'll do our best to communicate early and often to keep you posted.

Shipping rates & delivery time

  • Orders over $80: free standard shipping.
  • Orders under $80: a flat shipping rate (shown at checkout before you pay).

We ship via USPS and UPS. Standard delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after your order ships, depending on where you are. These are estimates from the carrier, not guarantees. Once a package leaves us, delivery timing is in their hands.

Tracking your order

As soon as your order ships, we’ll send a confirmation email with a tracking link. If you made an account at checkout, you can also find tracking under your order history. Give the carrier 24 hours after you get the email for tracking to start updating.

Wrong or undeliverable address

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout, autofill loves to drop in an old one. A correct address is the single best thing you can do to make sure your order reaches you.

  • Need to fix an address? Email us at hello@strayproject.com as soon as possible. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll happily update it at no charge.
  • If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect or undeliverable address, we’ll reach out to confirm the right address and reship it for the cost of shipping ($6). If the package was already delivered to an address you entered, we’re not able to cover a replacement, but we’ll always help you figure out next steps.
  • If we made the address mistake, it’s on us, we’ll reship right away at no cost to you.

Lost or stolen packages

If your tracking says “delivered” but the package isn’t in your hands, don’t panic, here’s what to do:

  1. Check around. Look by your door, mailbox, porch, and any other spots a carrier might tuck a package. Ask household members and neighbors. Packages marked “delivered” very often turn up within a day.
  2. Confirm your address on the order confirmation to make sure it went where it should have.
  3. Still missing after 48 hours? Email us at hello@strayproject.com with your order number and we’ll help make it right.

We’re a small brand and we genuinely want to take care of you, but we also have to protect against the rare bad actor, so for higher-value orders or repeat claims we may ask a couple of extra questions or file a search with the carrier before we replace an order. Thanks for understanding.

Damaged in transit

If your order shows up damaged, email hello@strayproject.com within 30 days with your order number and a quick photo, and we’ll get a replacement out to you right away.

Changing or canceling an order

Because we move fast, there’s a short window to change or cancel an order. Email us at hello@strayproject.com as soon as you can. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll do our best to update or cancel it. Once it’s shipped, we can’t pull it back, but you can always use our Return, Refund & Exchange Policy.

A note on our approach

We’re real people running a brand we care about. These guidelines keep things clear and fair, but if your situation doesn’t fit neatly into the above, just reach out. We’ll always try to do the right thing.
